One of the loveliest places we have ever stayed. This charming cottage is both cosy and characterful, containing everything we needed for our long weekend. The large garden was stunning and the surrounding woodland boasted an abundance of wildlife. We had the entire place to ourselves, apart from the many birds who visited the feeders in the garden. The owners even laid on a light dusting of snow to make everything look even more picture postcard. We shall definitely be returning.
Such a beautiful secluded location, a week of sunny weather made it ideal for sitting out & listening to nature, having a BBQ and an occasional glass of wine!
Perfect for trip to the coast, Minsmere, bike rides, walks & go carting.
We all loved it – just how life should be
We used Gamekeepers Cottage as a base forEaster week to catch up with family in the area and explore the many local delights. We were blessed with lots of sunshine allowing for long walks through the woods and had some very memorable dinners in the lovely Cosy dining room in the cottage. We saw deer buzzard and woodpeckers in the wood and plenty of hares in the fields lots of lovely birds on the bird feeders too. Just stopping in the wood for a few minutes to listen to the sounds of nature was wonderful. We enjoyed exploring Southwold,Walberswick Dunwich Thorpeness andAldeburgh and walking at Covehythe beach. I couldn’t recommend his more for those seeking a secluded property close to Suffolk’s wonderful coastal heritage. I was not surprised to see in the guestbook that people had returned to this property on numerous occasions to appreciate the charm that it offers.
